Westmark Anchorage Hotel, Anchorage

The hotel is conveniently located in downtown, making it easy to access all the nearby restaurants and shops. The rooms, while cozy, had noticeable dust on the end tables, but overall a decent size for a comfortable stay. The service was helpful, though lacking knowledge about certain transportation options. The dining experience left something to be desired with cold scrambled eggs in the morning. The location is great for exploring downtown Anchorage but disappointed with the parking arrangements.

The hotel had a spacious room that could have easily accommodated a table and chairs, but unfortunately, it was pretty shabby with worn carpets, old and scratched table tops, and a filthy phone. Despite this, it did not smell of smoke or dirtiness. The location was ideal for walking around downtown, enjoying some good eats, and being close to the train depot, although parking accommodations were disappointing. The service was average, not terribly friendly, and lacked correct information when needed. The dining experience was good but expensive, and the facilities were average.

After three days of staying, the hotel was nice, despite the rooms being downright dingy and not befitting the HAL brand.
